Over 40 miles long, the Montour Trail is a rails to trails project near Pittsburgh that stretches from Coraopolis, PA to Clairton, PA. Partnering with the OH! – the Outdoor Happiness movement, Montour Trail Council’s plans to pave a .8 mile extension that will connect a newly built bridge in Coraopolis to the Montour Trail mile marker “0” are becoming a reality.
This project resides in Pittsburgh’s metropolitan area which has a population of more than 2 million residents. Projects like the Montour Trail provide city dwelling residents with a free place to ride their bicycles, walk their dogs, catch a Frisbee, view wildlife, or fly a kite. OH! believes living a healthy and active lifestyle is easier when there’s an outdoor park nearby.
